The Torrington Titans (16-22) and the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (17-22) each put runners in scoring position on Wednesday, but the Torrington Titans capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 6-5 win at Fuessenich Park. Cooper Mrowka was solid at the plate for the Torrington Titans. Mrowka went 2-3 and scored two runs. He singled in the fifth and sixth innings. Ricky Surum had three extra-base hits for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. He tripled in the third inning, doubled in the fifth and seventh innings, and singled in the first and ninth innings. Keith Grant recorded his first win of the year for the Torrington Titans. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered one hit. Steven Colella (3-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out six, and allowed five runs.
