The Nashua Silver Knights (24-15) built an early lead against the Pittsfield Suns (15-22), scoring five runs in the first inning, en route to a 8-4 win on Wednesday at Holman Stadium.
The Nashua Silver Knights scored in the first on, a two-run single by Yanni Thanopoulas, a groundout by Anthony Fava, and an error.
Thanopoulas boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace the Nashua Silver Knights.
Gavin Hollowell recorded his first win of the year for the Nashua Silver Knights. He allowed four runs over six innings. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered seven hits.
Garrett Hudson (0-3) took the loss for the Pittsfield Suns. He lasted just two innings, walked five, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
