
Braves Win Pitcher's Duel

Pawtucket Red Sox News Release
The PawSox faced tremendous pitching for the second straight night at McCoy and as a result, fell to Gwinnett 2-0. The G-Braves scored twice in the third inning on two base hits, a double by Jordan Schafer and a single by Matt Young. Those were the only hits Gwinnett managed all night. Kyle Weiland was a tough-luck loser, working 6 innings, striking out 9. His personal record is 2-4 for the year. Dennis Neuman was impressive in his second straight Pawtucket appearance, firing three shutout innings at Gwinnett. Neuman, 21 hasn't allowed a run in 5 innings at Triple A.
Rodrigo Lopez (5-0) got the win, with seven innings of work. The veteran righty had 7 strikeouts. Pawtucket had just 5 hits all night, 3 by right fielder, Matt Sheely. Sheelys' 3-3 night lifted his average 175 points to .286 for 2011. Lars Anderson had a double in 4 at bats. Nate Spears tripled.
The series wraps up on Thursday afternoon at 12:05 p.m. Top rated prospect Julio Teheran (3-0, 1.80) faces Andrew Miller (1-2, 2.45).
