
Victory Field to Host City and County Championships

INDIANAPOLIS --Victory Field will host the Indiana High School Baseball City and County Championships featuring Lawrence Central versus Roncalli in the County Championship and Cathedral against Bishop Chatard for the City Title on Thursday, May 12.
The night's two game slate begins at 5:30 p.m. with Lawrence Central taking on Roncalli, while Cathedral will square off against Bishop Chatard following the first game and starting no earlier than 7:30 p.m. Lawrence Central and Cathedral played against each other at Victory Field earlier this year during the Victory Field Classic, with the Fighting Irish of Cathedral defeating the Lawrence Central Bears by a score of 7-3.
Tickets for the evening are $5, with all tickets being general admission, while children 2 and under are free. Parking for the event will be available for $3 in the Victory Field parking lot on a first come, first serve basis, with the park's gates opening at 5 p.m.
The Indians return for their third home stand of the 2011 season on Friday, May 13 against the Columbus Clippers, with first pitch set for 7:15 p.m. for the first Friday Night Fireworks show of the season following the conclusion of the contest.
