Rome, GA - The Rome Braves defeated the Greensboro Grasshoppers 3-2 in front of 2,346 fans at State Mutual Stadium to end a three game losing streak and take game two of the four game set.

Pitching was the dominate factor in the game until the fourth inning when both teams scored. Jeremy Synan led off the inning for Greensboro with a single to right field and Jake Smolinski doubled to right moving Synan to third. Ryan Keedy followed with another single to right, plating both runners and giving the Grasshoppers a 2-0 advantage. Rome would come right back in the bottom of the fourth and score a run when Joel Campusano reached on an error and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Luis Sumoza making it 2-1 game.

In the sixth inning the Braves would tie the contest. Chaise Fuller started with a double down the left-field line and Sumoza later singled to right scoring Fuller to tie the game 2-2.

The Braves would get the win in the ninth as Shane Moody singled to left to lead off the inning and Sumoza followed with another single to put runners at first and second. Calvin Culver moved both runners over with a ground out and Adam Milligan was intentionally walked to load the bases. A passed ball by catcher Kyle Skipworth allowed Moody to score from third giving Rome the 3-2 victory.

Tyrelle Harris (1-0) gets the win for Rome in his home debut pitching three innings, giving up no hits, and striking out five. Greensboro's Daniel Jennings (1-2) takes the loss pitching just two thirds of an inning but giving up two hits and one run.
