Richmond, VA - The Richmond Braves game vs. the Charlotte Knights scheduled for Wednesday, May 2 at The Diamond has been postponed due to rain. The game will be rescheduled as part of a doubleheader on Thursday, May 3. Thursday's doubleheader will start at 6 PM and will feature two seven-inning games.
Tickets for Wednesday night's rained-out game can be exchanged for any 2007 regular season game with exception of the July 4 and July 5 games.
The Braves are scheduled to start RHP Anthony Lerew (0-0, 1.83 ERA) against the Knights' RHP Vladimir Nunez (1-2, 3.97 ERA) in the first game Thursday. Richmond will send LHP Macay McBride (1-0, 0.96 ERA) to battle Charlotte LHP Heath Phillips (2-2, 3.41 ERA) in the second game.
The Braves have won six straight games and lead the South Division by seven and a half games. The Braves 16-5 start is the best in club history.
