INDIANAPOLIS -- Thursday evening's International League contest between the Indianapolis Indians and Richmond Braves was suspended in the middle of the fourth because of heavy rain in downtown Indianapolis. Richmond was leading 2-0 when play was interrupted.
James Jurries and Tony Pena knocked in runs for the Braves. Brian O'Connor, who worked 7.2 shutout innings in his last appearance, pitched three scoreless innings.
The game will be completed as part of a doubleheader at Victory Field on Friday, June 23. The first game will be completed as a nine-inning contest. The second game will be a seven-inning affair. The twinbill is slated to begin at 6 p.m. EDT.
The Braves return home June 30 vs. Charlotte.
