Brandon Carlo Selected by Boston Bruins at NHL Draft

KENNEWICK, WA - The Tri-City Americans are proud to announce that 18-year-old defenseman Brandon Carlo was selected by the Boston Bruins in the second round, 37th overall of the 2015 NHL Draft at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla.

Carlo is the 58th player, 50th skater and 25th defenseman drafted in franchise history. The last American drafted was Eric Comrie in 2012, and the last defenseman drafted was Zachary Yuen in 2011.

"We are excited as an organization for Brandon and his selection by the Boston Bruins," Americans Governor/GM Bob Tory said. "His growth as a player and individual has been a pleasure to watch here in the Tri-Cities and we look forward to him being a huge part of our club and leadership group in the upcoming season."

The native of Colorado Springs, Colo., recently completed his sophomore season with the Americans. He recorded four goals, 25 points and 90 penalty minutes, and was second in scoring on the team amongst defenseman.
