Guelph Storm News Release

(GUELPH) For the second week in a row, and fourth time this season, the Guelph Storm has named forward Brandon Buck the Grand & Toy Player of the Week.

The Delaware native helped his team pick up three of a possible four points this past weekend recording two points, both goals, and the shootout winner in Kitchener on Friday night. With Denis Hollenstein scoring the first Storm goal in the shootout and Jake Fischer stopping two of three Kitchener shooters, Buck lifted his team over the Rangers beating Van Buskirk for the 3-2 win. Saturday night in Sarnia, the 20 year old tallied two in the 5-4 overtime loss.

With 47 points in 50 games, Buck sits third on the Storm in overall scoring leading the way in assists with 31 and short handed goals with two. Buck has played his best hockey of late recording 17 points in his last 19 games.

Next up, Buck and the rest of the Storm host the OHL's best Windsor Spitfires in a rare Tuesday night match up on Rogers Sportsnet. Thursday night they travel to Peterborough to take on the Petes before returning home to the Sleeman Centre for a contest against the Sting. Tickets are still available for both home games and can be purchased by visiting or calling the Guelph Storm Box Office at 519-837-9690.
