Kitchener Rangers News Release
For the past six months Clarky's Kids has provided children from Grand River Hospital`s POGO (Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario) Satellite Centre the opportunity to experience the excitement of a Kitchener Rangers game. As well, team members and coaching staff of the Rangers along with alumnus David Clarkson of the New Jersey Devils and his family continue to visit the children and staff at the clinic on a regular basis.
The Rangers designed a special Clarky's Kids inspiration wall mural that has now been installed in the clinic. Twin City Graphics, generously donated all materials, printing and time to install the mural at the clinic. Since 1984 Twin City Graphics has consistently been providing top quality vinyl graphics and professional installation. They have nearly 100 years combined experience in design, production and installation of vinyl graphics and have done an outstanding job once more with the production and installation of this mural. Clarky's Kids would like to thank Twin City Graphics for their generosity and time.
To view more photos of the mural visit the Kitchener Rangers photo gallery.
In addition, the Clarky's Kids program along with community groups and fans have donated more than $15,000 that directly benefits the Pediatric Oncology Clinic at Grand River Hospital as well as the Pediatric Oncology Financial Assistance Program (POFAP). POFAP aids families with the costs of food, accommodation and babysitting during their child's cancer treatment.
As part of an on-going commitment to raise funds for the above charities, Clarky's Kids along with St. Louis Bar & Grill, T.Litzen Sports Ltd., Swogg Canada, Toyota Motor Manufacturing and H.O.F.
