(Windsor) Spitfires centre Andrei Loktionov is the Windsor Spitfires Player of the Week as selected by the Spitfires coaching staff for the week ending Sunday, February 8th. Loktionov scored two goals and added four assists for six points in three games played last week, leading the Spitfires to a perfect 3-0 record.

Loktionov posted one assist and scored the gamewinning goal in Windsor's 4-3 shootout victory over the Owen Sound Attack on February 5th. The next night, he scored two goals, including the game winner and posted one assist en route to being selected as the first star in the Spitfires' 4-3 win against the London Knights. Loktionov capped the week off by posting two assists and being named the second star of the Spitfires' 6-1 win versus the Niagara IceDogs on February 7th.

The 18 year-old Voskresensk, Russia native was selected by the Spitfires with the 7th overall pick in this year's CHL Import Draft and he was also drafted by the NHL's Los Angeles Kings in the 5th round at the 2008 NHL Entry Draft in Ottawa, Ontario. He is currently tied for 7th in the OHL Rookie Scoring Race with 42 points in 38 games played this season.

The CHL's top-ranked team will play their next game on the road tomorrow against the Guelph Storm at 7:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast nationwide on Rogers Sportsnet.
