
Cherry Dons Pink This Friday

Mississauga St. Michael's Majors News Release
Mississauga, ON - The Mississauga St. Michael's Majors are pleased to announce that Don Cherry will be appearing alongside Mississauga Mayor Hazel McCallion and OHL Commissioner David Branch during the pre-game on-ice ceremony at Paint The Rink Pink for the second year in a row. The game is presented in partnership with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, and will take place this Friday night when the Majors host the Barrie Colts at 7:30 p.m.
Fans are encouraged to attend the game and wear pink clothing in support of breast cancer research and awareness, and proceeds from tickets, sales and in-arena donations of that night will go toward the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. There will also be pink jerseys worn by Majors players, a silent auction featuring pink jerseys and pink sticks during the week following the game on the Majors website (www.stmichaelsmajors.com), pink paraphernalia and pink ice.
Mississauga visits the Kitchener Rangers tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m.
The Majors Family Day game takes place on Monday, February 16 when the Brampton Battalion visits the Hershey Centre at 1 p.m. It will also be Scouts Day at the game, as they celebrate Lord Baden Powell's birthday! Popular cartoon characters including Diego, Dora the Explorer, Spongebob Squarepants and Patrick will be available for a Meet and Greet with fans from 12-1 p.m., prior to the start of the game.
