NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas - The Texas Brahmas returned to the ice at home at the NYTEX Sports Centre to face their Northeast foes, the Youngstwn SteelHounds Saturday evening. Unfortunately, the welcome home ended in a 3-1 loss for the Brahmas.

The game was plagued with 19 penalties, including nine from the Brahmas. Forward Jordan Cameron returned to the line-up after spending 14 days on the IR, and his presence was visible.

In the first period, Cameron shot a goal past Hound's goaltender Franck at the 12:20 mark. Forwards Grant Jacobsen and Greg McConnell were rewarded with the assists. The period ended with the Brahmas up 1-0.

As the second period heated up, so did the intensity as penalties racked up for both teams. At the midway mark the SteelHounds attitude focused on offense as forward Przepiorka snuck a powerplay goal past Brahmas goaltender David Cacciola.

The period continued with penalties, one in which costed Brahmas defenseman Mike Vellinga a ten minute misconduct and an early exit from the game.

The SteelHounds came out in the third and scored another powerplay goal within 16 seconds of the faceoff, putting the Hounds up 2-1. The Brahmas answered back minutes later, only to have the goal called back.

As time ticked away, the Brahmas were unable to rally back, though they pulled Cacciola with two minutes remaining in the final period. The SteelHounds Maslonka put one in the empty net, unassisted, in the dying seconds of the game.

The Brahmas will continue their homestand next week beginning Wednesday, November 21 as they face the Corpus Christi Rayz for a 7:05 PM start. On Friday they will play the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees and Saturday will match up against the Rocky Mounatain Rage at 7:05 PM at the NYTEX Sports Centre.
