The Rage came out strong in the second period scoring four goals to take a 4-0 lead into the third period. Laredo's Jeff Bes scored his 10th goal of the season in the third period, making it a 4-1 final. Bes remains tied atop the CHL scoring charts with the Rage's Scott Wray, who also scored a goal last night. Bucks goalie Dustin Traylen was replaced in the third period last night by Kevin Beech, Traylen stopped 16 of 20 Rage shots, while Beech set aside all four. The Bucks gave up two break-away goals to the Rage last night.
Bes is tied for the CHL scoring lead with Wray with 25 points. Bes comes into tonight with 10 goals, and 15 assists, while Chris Korchinski is ninth in the league with 19 points (7-12=19). Rookie Brent MacSween leads the CHL in power-play goals with six.
The Bucks have struggled on the power-play in their last four games, going a combined 1-21 against Corpus Christi, Youngstown, Rio Grande Valley and Rocky Mountain.
The Eagles, who are in the middle of a seven-game homestand, come into tonight looking to win their third straight game. Colorado beat Oklahoma City last night at home 6-5, with the return of goaltender Marco Emond. In his first game of the season last night Emond made 39 saves in the Eagles net. Riley Nelson and Polaski scored two goals apiece, while Jay Birnie and Seth Leonard handed out three assists each to lead the Eagles.

The Eagles have struggled with injuries this year, as Emond, Ryan Tobler, and Chris Harstsburg have missed significant time. The injury bug has not only hit the Eagle players, as Colorado President/GM/ and Head Coach Chris Stewart has missed all 11 games this season after having back surgery. Stewart was at the Eagles morning skate today, but will still be out of action for a couple more weeks.
The Bucks and Eagles face off tonight at 8:05pm Central Time.
