
Brahmas Announce 2010-11 Schedule

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (July 23)- In conjunction with the Central Hockey League (CHL), the Texas Brahmas, have released their complete regular season schedule for the 2010-11 campaign. The Brahmas will open their thirteenth season with a quick trip on the road facing their cross town rivals, the Allen Americans for back to back games, Friday, October 15 and Saturday, October 16. The Brahmas open their season at home Friday, October 22 against the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees for a 7:30 PM start.
The Brahmas will be contending in the Southern Conference for a third straight season and will be hosting several rivalries. The Metroplex rivalry against Allen will take place five times at NYTEX and epic I-20 battles against the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs will pick up 11 times this season, with six of the contests at home. Fans will experience a change in start times at NYTEX as the puck will drop at 7:00 PM on Monday-Thursday dates, 7:30 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, and 4:00 PM faceoffs on Sunday games.
The newly featured 66-game schedule features 28 home weekend dates (11 Friday, 13 Saturday and 4 Sunday games). The Brahmas end 2010 with a bang as they host the Mudbugs for a 6:00 PM New Year's Eve game. A special 6:00 PM faceoff will be set for President's Day, February 21 when the Wichita Thunder visit NYTEX. The Brahmas longest homestand is a five game span around the Thanksgiving holiday from November 24-December 4. The longest road trip will be a four game period from December 7-17; the road trip includes Laredo, Tulsa, Allen and Bossier-Shreveport.
Texas Brahmas General Manager Mike Barack is excited about the team's thirteenth season and looks forward to the 2010-11 campaign.
