Bucks Announce 2010-11 Schedule: Home Opener October 23rd

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks, in conjunction with the Central Hockey League, announced Friday their complete schedule for the 2010-11 season.
The Bucks will open their ninth season on October 15th-16th with two games on the road against longtime rival Rio Grande Valley. The Bucks home opener is on Saturday, October 23rd against the Killer Bees.
The Bucks will play 66 games in all, hosting 33 at Laredo Energy Arena, while playing 33 on the road. The Bucks complete schedule is listed below.
Of the Bucks 33 home games, a total of 20 will be played on weekend days. 10 will be played on Friday's, nine on Saturday's, and one on Sunday.
The Bucks will also host one Monday game, nine Tuesday games, one Wednesday game and two Thursday games (one Kid's Day Game) during the season.
Game times at the LEA will stay the same this season, with Monday thru Thursday games starting at 7:00pm, Friday and Saturday games starting at 7:30pm, and Sunday games will start at 4pm.
The Bucks will play 58 games against the Southern Conference, while playing just eight times against the Northern Conference.
The Bucks Southern Conference schedule looks like this: Laredo will play Allen seven times (four home, three away), Arizona 11 times (five home, six away), Bossier-Shreveport seven times (four home, three away), Mississippi three times (two home, one away), Odessa six times (two home, four away), Rio Grande Valley 16 times (eight home, eight away), Texas seven times (four home, three away) and Tulsa once (away).
Laredo's Northern Conference schedule will shape up like this; The Bucks will play Colorado once (away), Missouri two times (both home), Rapid City four times (two home, two away), and Wichita one time (away).
Laredo's longest homestand of the campaign will come early, as they will play five straight games at the LEA from November 2th-12th, while the Bucks longest road trip of the season will be four games, from January 21st-25th and then again March 16th-25th.
The Bucks will play three-games in three nights just five times this season, one taking place in December, one in January, two in February, and one in March.
2010-11 Notable Home Games include, October 23rd vs. Rio Grande Valley (home opener), November 5th-6th vs. Rapid City (only home games against '10 President's Cup Champions), November 12th vs. Allen (first home meeting vs. Americans since '10 playoffs), February 10th vs. Odessa (McDonald's Kid's Day Game), March 27 vs. Texas (regular season finale).
2010-11 Notable Road Games include, October 15th at Rio Grande Valley (season opener), October 28th at Odessa (Jackalopes home opener), November 27th at Mississippi (first game at Riverkings since 1/24/09), January 21st at Tulsa (first game at Oilers since 3/4/05), January 23rd at Wichita (first game at Thunder since 3/7/05), March 25th at Texas (last regular season road game).
Laredo is still finalizing their pre-season schedule, but they expect to play two games.
