Brad Lidge to Pitch for 'Claws this Morning

LAKEWOOD, NJ - Phillies pitcher Brad Lidge will make a rehab appearance with the BlueClaws in Wednesday's 11:05 am game at FirstEnergy Park, it was announced by the Phillies.

Lidge, who is rehabbing a right rotator cuff strain, made three appearances with the BlueClaws between July 4th and 9th, allowing one run with four strikeouts over three innings.

He then made four appearances with Double-A Reading between July 11th and 17th, allowing two runs in 3.2 innings pitched. He threw a scoreless inning with two strikeouts in his most recent outing on Sunday at Waterfront Park in Trenton.

Lidge has not appeared in a game with the Phillies yet this year. He has 99 career saves with the Phillies and 222 in a nine-year big league career.

The BlueClaws are 20-11 all-time when a Phillies player rehabs with the BlueClaws, including 4-1 this year. The team hosted JC Romero and Shane Victorino in May.
