Bowman Joins 40-40 Club

With a power play goal on February 28th versus Tri- City, Drayson Bowman became the first Chief since 1994 to score 40 goals in back-to-back seasons. Maxim Bets and Valeri Bure both did it in 1992-93 and 1993-94.

Bowman is the eight Chief all-time to accomplish the feat. Only 12 other Chiefs have scored 40 goals in a season. The 19-year-old scored a career high four goals in a 5-2 win over the Kamloops Blazers on February 25th. It was his third hat-trick of season and sixth career. In his last 24 games, Drayson Bowman has 25 goals and 38 points.

Bowman was named the CHL Player of the week on February 2nd after recording five goals and 10 points in three wins. Bowman had a point in the 10 straight games after returning from the World Junior Tournament with 10 goals and 19 points in the stretch. Bowman had a hat-trick with two of the goals coming on penalty shots versus Seattle on February 18th. Bowman now has 123 career goals, seventh in franchise history, and 230 career points, 12th all-time. The Colorado native was the Carolina Hurricanes third round selection in 2007.
