Bowie Baysox Roster Move, 4/20/09

The Bowie Baysox announce three roster moves today:

RHP Jason Berken transferred to AAA Norfolk from AA Bowie

RHP Pat Egan transferred to AA Bowie from A Delmarva

LHP Ryan Rodriguez transferred to Temporary Inactive List

Berken was 1-1 with a 5.63 ERA in two starts for the Baysox this season. This is his first trip to AAA. Last year, Berken was 12-4 with a 3.58 ERA in 26 games with the Baysox.

Egan joins the Baysox after appearing in two games for the Shorebirds this season. Egan was 0-0 and did not allow an earned run in 6.0 innings for Delmarva. He struck out five batters and did not issue a walk. Egan spent last year in Aberdeen, going 5-6 with a 3.24 ERA in 14 starts.

Rodriguez is 0-0 with a 10.54 ERA in four appearances for the Baysox this season. After a rough first appearance, Rodriguez has only allowed one earned run over his last 5.0 innings pitched.
