Johnstown Chiefs News Release

Jonathan Boutin has not been scored upon in over 120 minutes. Boutin stopped all 37 shots Wednesday night, as the Chiefs shutout the Trenton Titans, 1-0. Saturday, Boutin also shutout Dayton, 4-0. He has not been scored upon since 19:38 of period 3 in Las Vegas, back on December 6.

After a scoreless first period, the Chiefs capitalized on their only odd-man break. Adam Henrich slid a pass across the slot to Justin Kelly, who partially fanned on the shot, but the puck trickled past Titans goalie Rejean Bouchemin.

The goal was all the Chiefs would need. While the Titans registered a high shot total, the J-town Defense limited Trenton to few scoring chances.

Both teams were whistled for only 2 penalties, one minor and one fighting major. The majors occurred in period 2, when Brett Peterson antagonized Chris Thompson into dropping the gloves.

The Chiefs improved to 8-11-6. They remain in 5th place, but are just one point out of 4th and two points behind Trenton for 3rd place in the North Division.

The Johnstown Chiefs will host the Fresno Falcons, Friday at the Cambria County War Memorial. Holiday Flex plans are still available by calling, 1-800-Slapshot.
