WOODBRIDGE, VA (MAY 12, 2010) - Jason Bour blasted two home runs and collected four RBI as the Dash came back from a two-run deficit to defeat the Potomac Nationals 12-8 on Wednesday night at Pfitzner Stadium. Winston-Salem trailed 6-4 after six innings, then scored eight runs over the seventh and eighth to win its fifth straight game and take the first three of the four-game series. The win keeps the Dash a game ahead of Salem for first place in the Southern Division.

Winston-Salem (23-10) scored three in the second inning against starter Robinson Fabian. Bour hit an RBI double to score Luis Sierra to give the Dash a 1-0 lead. Later in the inning, Brandon Short brought home two more runs with a single to put Winston ahead 3-0.

The Nationals (14-19) came back with three in the bottom of the third to tie the game. Charlie Leesman loaded the bases with one out, and then surrendered a three-run double to Michael Burgess to make it 3-3.

Bour put the Dash back into the lead with a solo home run to left to lead off the fourth inning.

The lead did not last long, as Potomac plated two in the bottom of the fifth. Leesman gave up an RBI single to Derek Norris, and then walked the bases loaded with one out. Hector Santiago was called upon to get out of the jam. One run came in on a sacrifice fly, but Santiago struck out Tyler Moore looking to avoid further damage. The two runs gave the P-Nats a 5-4 lead.

The Nationals added to their lead with a Steve Lombardozzi RBI double in the sixth to go ahead 6-4.

The Dash struck back with a five-run seventh inning to re-claim the lead. With two outs and a man on second, Gary Cathcart lifted Adrian Alaniz, who was pitching well, in favor of left-hander Corey VanAllen to face the left-handed hitting Seth Loman. Loman got a soft single over the head of the second baseman to drive in a run and cut the deficit to one.

Ozzie Lewis then singled, and Luis Sierra followed with a two-run triple to catapult the Dash to a 7-6 lead. VanAllen (1-2) was removed from the game without retiring a batter.

Dan Leatherman, the new pitcher, was greeted by Bour's second home run of the game, a two-run shot to put Winston ahead 9-6. Bour went 4 for 5 on the night with a double, two home runs, and four RBI, coming a triple short of the cycle.

Winston-Salem added three more in the eighth inning off Lewis' three-run double to go up 12-6.

Potomac scored a pair in the ninth to account for the final tally.

Santiago (2-3) picked up the win after allowing one run on two hits over 1.2 innings.

The Dash totaled 19 hits, the team's second-highest output of the season, en route to the series victory. Brandon Short went 4 for 6 to bring his season average to .404.

Winston goes for the four-game sweep on Thursday night. RHP Nevin Griffith (4-0, 2.94) looks to stay perfect on the season against RHP A.J. Morris (1-2, 2.05). First pitch is scheduled for 7:03 p.m. Fans can tune into the live audio broadcast beginning at 6:45 on www.wsdash.com.
