Kevin Howard added a two-run shot in the sixth off reliever Casey Cahill for a 7-1 lead. Emerson Frostad capped the Lancaster scoring with a three-run belt to right in the seventh, following an RBI single by Howard. It was Frostad's fourth hit of the day.
Jerome Williams (2-0) started for the Barnstormers and allowed seven hits and three runs in 6 2/3 innings. He allowed a double by Jeff Nettles and RBI single by J.R. Hopf in the second inning to fall behind, 1-0, then faced the minimum of 12 batters over the next four innings. He was chased in the seventh as Josh Pressley doubled into the right field corner and scored on a single to left by Nettles. Following the third double play turned by the 'Stormers defense in the game, Fernando Cortez launched a solo blast, cutting Lancaster's lead to 7-3 at the time.
The game was delayed for 54 minutes by rain in the top of the eighth inning.
