Loudoun Hounds News Release
Dulles, VA - May 17, 2011 - Harmon Killebrew, Corporate Advisor to the Hounds, has sadly lost his battle with esophageal cancer today. Mr. Killebrew was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in December 2010 and recently entered hospice care.
The Hounds and our parent company, Virginia Investment Partnership, have been proud to be associated with Mr. Killebrew for several years and he was a member of our organization since September 2010.
Bob Farren, CEO and President of the Hounds, stated, "Our hearts go out to one of the most beautiful men we have ever met. The outpouring of notes, thoughts and prayers we've received from fans since Harmon's announcement last week is just a small drop in the bucket on his overall impact on people's lives. Harmon was a true gentleman and a great Ambassador for the game and will be missed tremendously. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Nita and the entire Killebrew family. We have all lost a good man today."
