Bossier-Shreveport's Neil Clark Wins Weekly Award

The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that Bossier-Shreveport forward Neil Clark has been voted the winner of the CHL Performance of the Week for the week ending February 22nd. The power forward know more for his hard hits and physical presence on the ice showed his offensive ability on February 20th when he scored a hat trick in the Mudbugs 4-3 win at Arizona.
Clark's hat trick earned 3,104 of the 4,968 votes cast accounting for 62% of the votes. Coming in second place was Mississippi's Bobby Chaumont who scored two goals in a 36 second stretch of the first period of the RiverKings 5-3 win versus Wichita on February 20th. Chaumont's feat earned 1,283 votes.
On the season, Clark has 18 goals and 13 assists to go with a +5 plus/minus rating and 138 penalty minutes. His previous career high in goals was nine and points was 17.
The nominees for the CHL Performance of the Week for week 19 of the season (Feb. 23-Mar. 1) are as follows:
-Corpus Christi's Jereme Tendler who scored a hat trick including the game winner in overtime of the Rays 4-3 win at Rio Grande Valley on February 28th
-Tulsa's Rob Dmytruk scoring two goals and adding an assist in 5-4 win versus Colorado on February 24th
-Rocky Mountain's David Morelli totaling five points (1-4) with a +5 in 7-1 win at Rapid City on February 25th
-Arizona's Marco Emond notching 1-0 shootout win at Corpus Christi while making 33 saves on February 27th
-Amarillo;s three goals in 45 second stretch in 6-5 win at Odessa on February 28th
Fans can vote for the winner through Monday, March 9th with the winner being announced on Tuesday, March 10th.
