Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings News Release
BOSSIER CITY, LA (March 6, 2008) - The Bossier-Shreveport BattleWings have announced the debut of Inside BattleWings' Football presented by Hebert's Town & Country-a comprehensive, half-hour television program with BattleWings' Head Coach Jon Norris. The show will air every Saturday beginning March 29th from 11:00-11:30 a.m. on KSHV MY 45.
"We're really excited about giving our fans a first-class production with the television show," said BattleWings' owner Dan Newman. "When we first met with the folks at KSHV, I could tell they were just as interested as we were in the quality of the show."
In addition to breaking down the previous week's game, Coach Norris will give his insight and opinion on the team's upcoming opponent. Plus, fans will be treated to some special features including player profiles, behind-the-scenes video and more.
"I think it's great that viewers will be able to watch the show on Saturday and then come out to the CenturyTel Center and see us live and in person," noted Norris. "With the growth of the BattleWings and arena football in general, this was a natural step for us to expose more fans to the game."
"We're thrilled to be the broadcast partner for the BattleWings," said KMSS/KSHV general manager Paula Hayward. "We think Inside BattleWings' Football is going to be a hit with fans throughout the Ark-La-Tex. We're going to heavily promote the show so fans won't miss an episode."
The BattleWings open their eighth season on Saturday, March 29th against the Central Valley (CA) Coyotes. Single-game tickets are on sale now and are available at www.ticketmaster.com. Season Tickets for the BattleWings' 8 home games start as low as $85 and are available by calling 318-746-8755.
