Schaumburg Boomers News Release
SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - For the second night in a row, the Schaumburg Boomers, presented by Wintrust Community Banks, struggled to figure out the pitching of the River City Rascals as they fell 2-0 Saturday night.
The Boomer managed just five hits in the game and only one inning with multiple knocks. Mark Nelson was the only Boomer with multiple hits and extended his hitting streak to seven games. Josh Heddinger pitched six strong innings, allowing one run on eight hits with three strikeouts.
Schaumburg will try to salvage the series finale Sunday afternoon with their ace Seth Webster on the mound. Ensure your place in the fun at Boomers Stadium this summer by calling (847) 461-FOWL (3695). Hear all of the action on AM 1410 WRMN with the voice of the Boomers, Tim Calderwood.
