Battle Creek, Mich. -- The Bombers scored six runs in the fifth inning to blow by the Bullfrogs by a final of 11-5 on Saturday.

The Bullfrogs scored first with two runs with RBI by Jimmy Coady and Robert Youngdahl in the top of the second inning, taking a 2-0 lead.

The Bombers responded quickly with a run of their own in the bottom half of the second to cut the Bullfrogs lead to 2-1. Battle Creek then added another in the third inning to tie it up at 2-2. Both runs were unearned to Green Bay starter, Ben Graff.

In the fourth inning the Bullfrogs took the lead again with an RBI sacrifice fly from Coady. Heading to the bottom half, Green Bay led it 3-2.

It was all Battle Creek from that point forward, however. The Bombers exploded for three runs in the fourth and six in the fifth to take an 11-3 lead. The six run sixth included two two-run home runs, one from Tyler Moore and one from Matthew Goodson.

The Bullfrogs were able to tack on two in the sixth inning to cut the lead to 11-5, but that was all they could muster. The teams were scoreless the rest of the way, and Battle Creek held on for the win.

The win went to Todd Eaton, and the loss to Ben Graff.

The Bullfrogs are on the road again on Sunday, traveling to Wausau to take on the Wisconsin Woodchucks. Game time is 5:05 p.m.

Green Bay will play its final home game of the season next Monday against the Woodchucks with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Come out to Joannes Stadium for Fan Appreciation Night Presented by Cellcom with post game fireworks and Social Media Mondays with KISS FM.
