
Bombers sign cornerback in CFL free agent Fields

WINNIPEG, MB â The Blue Bombers signed import cornerback William Fields (5-8, 175, University of Houston '99, DOB: June 21, 1978 in McKeesport, PA).
"Getting a veteran player of William's ability will greatly enhance our secondary," said Brendan Taman, General Manager. "His veteran presence will be a welcome addition to our Club."

CFL YEARS â CALGARY STAMPEDERS â 2004
Fields played in 12 regular season games and compiled a total of 28 tackles and four knockdowns.
CFL YEARS â CALGARY STAMPEDERS â 2003
Fields played in 17 regular season games and finished with 52 defensive tackles, eight knockdowns, two interceptions and one quarterback sack.
CFL YEARS â CALGARY STAMPEDERS â 2002
Fields played in all 18 regular season games. He had a total of 48 defensive tackles, two interceptions and eight knockdowns.
CFL YEARS â CALGARY STAMPEDERS â 2001
Fields played in 18 regular season games plus two playoff games and the Grey Cup. He finished the season with 41 defensive tackles, 11 pass knockdowns, and five interceptions and led the CFL in interception return yards with 181.
COLLEGE YEARS â UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON 1996 â 1999
Fields was a four year starter for the University of Houston where he recorded 138 defensive tackles, broke up 28 passes and had three interceptions.
