GREEN BAY, WI - The Battle Creek offense was held to just two hits, as they dropped the series opener 3-1 to the Green Bay Bullfrogs at Joannes Stadium.

Green Bay scored one in the first, but Battle Creek answered right away in the second. Colin Willis launched his first home run of the season, a moon shot that hooked just fair inside the right field foul pole. Tom Albert followed with an infield single, but it was the final hit Battle Creek would record on the night.

Taylor Black pitched six strong innings to earn the win for Green Bay. Alex Abrams was perfect over the final two innings, striking out three along the way to pick up the save.

The Bombers will look to even the series on Friday night, as they send Brian Thene to the mound for his first start of the season. First pitch is 8:05 ET.

The Battle Creek Bombers are members of the prestigious Northwoods League that has more teams, plays more games, and draws more fans than any other summer collegiate baseball league in North America.
