
Rox Fall to Honkers

The Rox and Honkers were locked in a pitcher's duel through six innings until Rochester scored 5 in the seventh to pace a 9-2 win over St Cloud.
Billy Soule (Minnesota) pitched six innings for the Rox and gave up two runs on five hits with four strikeouts. He did not factor in the decision. Ty McDevitt (Minnesota) got the win for the Honkers for pitching 3.1 innings of shutout relief.
Elvin Soto (Pittsburgh) made his debut for the Rox and singled in his first at bat. Soto was one of seven Rox to register a hit in the loss.
The Rox trailed 2-0 heading into the bottom of the sixth inning but tied the game with a Jamie Simpson (Eastern Michigan) sacrifice fly and a Nick Rau (Georgia Southern) single.
The Honkers found success against the Rox bullpen and scored seven unanswered runs over the game's final three innings to take the lopsided victory.
