
Bombers Fall to Cyclones in Series Finale

Dayton, OH - The Dayton Bombers fell to the Cincinnati Cyclones 6-0 in the finale of their 15-game season series at the Ervin J. Nutter Center on Wednesday night.
The first-place Cyclones built a 2-0 lead in the first with goals from Mark Van Guilder and Mac Faulkner. Shots on goal were tight, with Cincinnati leading 10-8.
In the second, Bombers goalie Paul Drew continued to be pressured by the Cyclones. After allowing a trio of goals in the frame, Drew was replaced by netminder David Shantz, who went 5 of 5 to end the period.
The third period saw a sixth goal from the Cyclones in the final minute of regulation to cap a 6-0 victory.
In net for the Bombers, Drew was 11 of 16, while Shantz finished 15 of 16. Cincinnati's Ryan Nie was 24 of 24 to finish the year 5-0-0 against Dayton.
Friday and Saturday the Trenton Devils are in town for "Fan Appreciation Weekend" with prizes and giveaways all throughout the game. Saturday is also the final "Military Appreciation Night" and Silver level tickets are 2-for-1 with a military or WPAFB ID at the box office. Both games start at 7:30 p.m.
