WAUSAU, Wis. - The Battle Creek Bombers and Wisconsin Woodchucks got an inning of baseball in before an hour-long rain delay halted the game. After an hour, the umpires came out to call the game for good.

Wisconsin scored two in the bottom of the first to lead 2-0. The postponed game will resume as part of a double header when the Bombers return to Wausau on the fourth of July. They will pick up the game in the top of the second with Wisconsin leading 2-0. The second game will be seven innings.

Kyle Slack will take the mound for the Bombers tomorrow as the team travels to Wisconsin Rapids for a two game series.

The Battle Creek Bombers are members of the Northwoods League that has more teams, plays more games, and draws more fans than any other summer collegiate baseball league in America. For information on tickets call (269) 962-0735 or visit BattleCreekBombers.com.
