
Boise Hawks Surpass Previous Season's Attendance for 2nd Consecutive Year

Boise, ID: On Thursday night, the Boise Hawks, Short Season Single A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, surpassed last season's total attendance (109,945), announcing they welcomed 3,494 fans to Memorial Stadium. The Hawks have played 36 of the 38 scheduled home games, with one remaining (tonight) and one game lost to weather conditions. The Hawks have all but ensured the highest attendance and average attendance since 2000.
"We couldn't be more pleased in regards to the response from our fans in the Treasure Valley," stated Bob Flannery, Boise Hawks General Manager. "There was a significant increase last year in our attendance and it is great to see that we can announce another banner year at the gates. Each night the team on the field, our part-time employees and our all-star front office staff put on a great show."
Thursday's game was the 12th sell-out game of the 2016 season and the fourth in the past five home games (August 16, August 30, August 31, September 1). The Hawks finish the 2016 home schedule tonight at 7:15 PM against the Everett AquaSox (Seattle Mariners), concluding with a post-game fireworks show, thanks to the Idaho Transportation Department. All reserved seats are sold for tonight's game, and "Standing Room Only" tickets will be available to the public at 7:15 PM.
