Tri-City Dust Devils News Release
The Tri-City Dust Devils (13-21, 32-40) struggled at the plate on Thursday night as the team lost 4-0 to the Eugene Emeralds (25-9, 53-19). Tri-City was limited to just three hits by the Emeralds in the loss.
Tri-City starter Adrian De Horta gave up all four runs that Eugene scored in the game. Of the four runs surrendered by De Horta, three were earned and one was unearned.
The pitching staff for the Emeralds ended the night with 16 strikeouts, tied for the most this year for the Dust Devils. Hudson Potts had a triple in the ninth inning for the team's only extra-base hit of the game. Potts' blast went off the top of the wall in left field, coming just shy of being his first home run since joining Tri-City.
The Dust Devils will look to salvage the final game of the five-game series tonight as right-hander Braxton Lorenzini will toe the rubber for Tri-City. Eugene will counter with left-hander Bryan Hudson. The team will return home for the final series of the season starting Saturday. There will be a Post-Game Fireworks Show that night presented by McCurley Integrity Dealerships. Great seats are available by calling the Dust Devils' front office at (509) 544-8789 or by going to www.dustdevilsbaseball.com to purchase tickets.
