
Bobby Jones Earns Gatorade Call-Up To The Houston Rockets

NEW YORK - Sioux Falls Skyforce guard/forward Bobby Jones today earned a GATORADE Call-Up to The Houston Rockets. Houston will be the third NBA team Jones will suit up for this season, in addition to stints with Denver and Memphis.
During his time in the NBA this season, Jones (6-7, 215) averaged 3.3 points and 1.4 rebounds in 23 games with the Nuggets, and 4.4 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists in nine outings (two starts) with the Grizzlies.
In two games with Sioux Falls this season, Jones averaged 8.0 points and 3.5 rebounds in 21.0 minutes per game. Twelve D-League players have made the jump to the NBA this season by way of 15 GATORADE Call-Ups.
Originally selected in the second round (37th overall) of the 2006 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves, Jones' rights were traded to Philadelphia on draft night. During his rookie campaign as a Sixer, Jones averaged 2.5 points and 1.3 rebounds in 44 games (five starts). During his 76-game NBA career, Jones has averaged 3.0 points, 1.5 rebounds and 0.5 assists.
A four-year contributor at the University of Washington, Jones averaged 24.1 minutes, 9.8 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 125 games.
Jones will join Houston tonight when the Rockets host the Washington Wizards at Toyota Center. Tip off is set for 8:30 PM ET.
