MONDAY NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS...top performers from Monday's D-League games
v Newly minted Performer of the Week Kasib Powell recorded 26 points and nine rebounds, while teammates David Bailey, Michael Joiner and Carl Elliott each scored 18 points in the win.
v Dakota's Rod Benson finished with 16 points and 17 rebounds and Blake Ahearn scored 23 points in the loss.
v Eddie Gill led the way for Colorado with 26 points and eight assists, while Elton Brown posted 25 points and 19 rebounds in the win.
v Desmon Farmer led all scorers with 31 points in Rio Grande Valley's loss.
ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS...a look at D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games
Eight players with D-League experience competed in six NBA games last night, two of them as starters. Here is a look at the highlights:
v Jamario Moon finished with a 24-point, 10-rebound double-double in just under 27 minutes for Toronto.
v San Antonio Spur Ime Udoka recorded 10 points and dished out three assists in 18 minutes of action.
v Josh Powell scored eight points and pulled down five boards in 19 minutes for the Los Angeles Clippers.
v Dallas D-League duo Brandon Bass and Juan Jose Barea saw a combined 18 minutes of time in last night's game.
POWELL EARNS PERFORMER OF THE WEEK: Kasib Powell of the Sioux Falls Skyforce was yesterday named D-League.com Performer of the Week for games played during the week of Feb. 18. Powell averaged 27.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists in two games. Powell is the first member of the Skyforce to earn the Performer of the Week honor this season.
BAKERSFIELD AND AUSTIN COMPLETE TRADE: The Bakersfield Jam and Austin Toros yesterday completed a trade in which veteran guard Andre Barrett will don a Toros uniform in exchange for forward Justin Reed. Later in the day, Bakersfield acquired Mateen Cleaves in their back court.
