World's Largest Yard Sale

Calling all bargin shoppers! Join us tomorrow morning, May 31st, for the second annual World's Largest Yard Sale at Appalachian Power Park. Admission for shoppers is free - all you have to do is bring your shopping shoes. Additional activities occuring throughout the yard sale will inlcude free Fun Zone games for all children 12 and under, cornhole, and Rock Band. Concessions will also be available. Make sure to arrive on time because the yard sale is only running from 9:00 am to Noon. Golden Ticket = Obama Bobblehead

Come join your West Virginia Power Saturday, May 30th as they take on the Lake County Captains. The game is set to begin at 7:05pm, but make sure to arrive early to recieve your free Barack Obama bobblehead presented by 98.7 The Beat. As you may have heard, the bobbleheads were held for an extended search by U.S. Customs. After several phone conversations with a Customs liaison, the Power received word this morning that the Obama Bobbleheads have been released and are currently en route to Appalachian Power Park. However, they will not arrive until next week. Fans will instead receive a "Golden Ticket". The ticket will be good for one bobblehead upon their arrival at Appalachian Power Park.

Also in attendance will be the American Heart Associaion who will be presenting Strike Out Stoke Night. In an effort to support the American Heart Association there will be opportunity for all fans to bid on a game used base from Saturday's game. The Power will also recognize Pigeon Forge and dedicate the night to the Negro Leagues.

West Virginia Community Day

In efforts to support communities all around the state of West Virginia, the Power is hosting the first of two community days dedicated to the Wild and Wonderful. West Virginia Community Day presented by WV Air Guard will feature the annual Power Shower which will benefit the Gabriel Project. To participate in the Power Shower, bring a baby product and gain free admission. WV Community Day will also be featuring South Charleston Little League as well as a post-game running of the bases for children ages 12 and under.

Grand Slam School Days

It is that time of year again when the Power fuses baseball and education for a jammed packed event. Make it out to Appalachian Power Park June 1st and 2nd for Grand Slam School Days with the West Virginia Power. Join Woody Woods and 98.7 The Beat as they assist in educating fans about geography, science and more. Both games are scheduled to begin at 11:15am.

Just as a reminder! Games on June 1st and 2nd will not be featuring the normal promotions. Crunk Monday featuring Kids Eat Free will resume on June 15th and Two for Tuesday will pick back up on June 16th.
