
Bob Case Named ECHL Athletic Trainer of the Year

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL's Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that Athletic Trainer Bob Case has been named the ECHL's Athletic Trainer of the Year.
Case, 48, is currently in his 25th year as an athletic trainer and eighth with the Cyclones. In addition to his two championships in Cincinnati, the Park Hills, Kentucky native has been a member of three other title teams during his career and has twice been named the athletic trainer for the ECHL All-Star Game (2004, 2010). He currently works on assignment for Beacon Orthopaedics, the Official Medical Team of the Cyclones.
"What a great honor for a well deserving professional," said Cyclones Medical Director Dr. David Argo. "He is one of those special people who has the trust of the players, the respect of the coaches, and the confidence of the doctors. He has demonstrated great skill in diagnosing, treating, and preventing all sorts of injuries and illness. He is an asset to the organization and a trusted partner on our medical team."
"Bob has such an important role in our locker room," said Cyclones Head Coach Jarrod Skalde. "His efforts to prevent and treat our players are critical in ensuring the long term success of the team. I'm very proud of him."
Case received a bachelor's degree in Physical Education / Athletic Training from Eastern Kentucky University and master's degree from Morehead State University. He and his wife, Leslie, reside in Anderson Township.
The Cyclones will travel back to Toledo TONIGHT to battle the Walleye in Game 6 of their best-of-seven series. Pre-game coverage from the Huntington Center gets underway at 7:15pm on the Cyclones Radio Network (FM 100 The FAN, America One, CyclonesHockey.com) with the opening face-off to follow at 7:35pm.
