Orlando's Dexter Named Reebok, ECHL Equipment Manager of the Year

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced on Tuesday that Adam Dexter of the Orlando Solar Bears is the 2012-13 recipient of the ECHL Equipment Manager of the Year Award, presented by Reebok .

The winner is determined in a vote of the league's equipment managers and athletic trainers. Reebok recognizes the efforts and accomplishments of ECHL equipment managers and will award Martin a pair of custom Reebok ZigTech shoes in honor of his achievement.

Dexter completed his 10th season as an equipment manager, joining the Solar Bears in August of 2012 after working as an assistant equipment manager for the last two seasons with the Adirondack Phantoms of the American Hockey League. He served as the equipment manager for the Mississippi RiverKings in the Central Hockey League from 2008-10 following two years with the Youngstown SteelHounds, also of the CHL. Dexter had previous ECHL experience as the equipment manager for the Charlotte Checkers in the 2005-06 season. A native of Anchorage, Alaska, Dexter began his career as an equipment manager working for the University of Alaska-Anchorage from 2003-05.
