Blues Recall Steve Regier from Peoria

St. Louis, Mo. (November 16, 2008) - St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today the club has recalled forward Steve Regier from the Blues' American Hockey League affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.

Regier, 24, has skated in 15 games for the Rivermen this season, collecting 17 points (nine goals, eight assists) along with 12 penalty minutes.

The 6-5, 200-pound forward has skated in 18 career NHL games all with the New York Islanders, collecting four penalty minutes.

The Spruce Grove, Alberta native was originally drafted by the New York Islanders in the fifth round, 148th overall, in the 2004 Entry Draft.

Regier joins Ben Bishop, Marek Schwarz, Chris Holt, Chris Porter, Jeff Woywitka and Cam Paddock on the list of Rivermen to have been recalled by the St. Louis Blues this season.
