
Blues Look to Continue Winning Streak at Arizona United

IRVINE, Calif. (August 14, 2015) - A fourth-straight win is what Orange County Blues FC (10-8-3, 33 pts) looks for in the latest match against Arizona United SC (8-12-1, 24 pts), Saturday, August 15th at Scottsdale Stadium in Scottsdale, Ariz. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. PT.
Both squads come into Saturday's match off of wins. OC defeated Austin Aztex 1-0 on Saturday, August 8th, behind Nikola Ilich's first professional goal in the 35th minute. Goalkeeper Billy Thompson made several key stops late in the match, and saved a penalty in 2nd half stoppage time. His efforts earned him a nomination on the USL Team of the Week, and he came in 2nd for Player of the Week voting.
Arizona defeated LA Galaxy II on Sunday, August 9th at StubHub Center, 2-1. Long Tan and Dennis Chin scored within a minute of each other around the 30-minute mark to lead United to victory.
Didier Crettenand and Christofer Ramirez lead the Blues with seven goals each, while Christopher Santana has recorded four assists this season. Tan leads United with 11 goals on the season, while several players, including Tan, have recorded two assists.
Coming into the home stretch of the 2015 season, every match for the Blues has playoff implications. OC currently sits in 6th place and the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Arizona United is currently in 10th place.
