SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (August 14, 2015) - Two wins out of three matches against any opponent is reason for confidence. But for Arizona United SC (8-12-1), the main source of confidence heading into tomorrow night's match against Orange County Blues FC (10-8-3) is last week's 2-1 win.

"We're concerned about what form we're in now," said Arizona United SC head coach Michael Dellorusso. "I know (Orange County) is in a pretty decent form but off us getting a result in LA the mentality has been good this week. We're just trying to build off that"

United snapped a five-match losing streak with last week's 2-1 win over Galaxy II. But Dellorusso said he saw signs of the club's form improving back in Tulsa, during a 6-3 loss to Roughnecks FC. According to the coach, getting numbers forward consistently was the driving force behind the improved play.

"We created chances and gave ourselves a chance," Dellorusso said. "I think we grew from that and did a little better in LA and made the most of it."

United forward Dennis Chin made the most of his lone scoring chance against Los Angeles. It was his first goal since April 2, also against LA Galaxy II. But the former USL scoring champion said that his role is different now than it was when he scored 11 goals in a season for Orlando City SC during his second professional season.

Instead of being the primary scorer, he said, he's more withdrawn and creates chances for others. But the striker in him was more than happy for the scoring opportunity

"It's good to get up there and actually get a chance," Chin said with a laugh. "Be clinical for once. Because you know that might be the only chance I get for awhile."

Arizona United SC kicks off against Orange County Blues FC on Saturday, August 15, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can still be purchased at ArizonaUnited.com.

United won the last meeting between the two clubs, 2-0, at Scottsdale Stadium on July 5. Scott Morrison and Jose "Chiva" Cuevas scored for United, but goalkeeper Carl Woszczynski was the star of the evening with 13 saves to keep a clean sheet. The clubs split their first two meetings at Orange County at the beginning of the season.
