SAN ANTONIO, TX - St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced on Saturday that the Blues have assigned forward Nick Lappin and defensemen Joey LaLeggia and Jake Dotchin to the Rampage.

LaLeggia, 27, returns for his second season in San Antonio after leading the Rampage in scoring in 2018-19. A fifth-round pick of the Edmonton Oilers in 2012, the fifth-year pro totaled 16 goals, a career-high 31 assists, and a career-high 47 points in 71 games with San Antonio, playing both forward and defense. The Burnaby, BC native has posted 60 goals and 157 points in 274 AHL games for the Rampage and Bakersfield Condors.

Lappin, 26, joins the Rampage for his fourth pro season. The Geneva, Illinois native recorded 19 goals and 34 points in 56 games while serving as an assistant captain with the Binghamton Devils last season. Lappin also appeared in 11 games with the New Jersey Devils in 2018-19. He has tallied 67 goals and 123 points in 168 AHL games, as well as five goals and eight points in 60 NHL games, all with the Devils organization.

Dotchin, 25, enters his sixth professional season. The Cambridge, Ontario native split the 2018-19 season between the AHL's San Diego Gulls and the Anaheim Ducks. Dotchin posted four goals, seven points, and 68 penalty minutes in 20 AHL games, and one assist in 20 NHL games. A sixth-round draft pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2012, Dotchin has appeared in 177 AHL games with the Gulls and Syracuse Crunch, totaling 15 goals, 51 points, and 407 penalty minutes. He has played 103 NHL games with the Lightning and Ducks, tallying three goals and 23 points.

The Blues have assigned ten players to San Antonio. Forwards Nolan Stevens, Alexei Toropchenko, Evan Polei, Cameron Darcy, and Zach Nastasiuk were assigned to San Antonio on Friday, along with defensemen Rob O'Gara and Jake Christiansen.

The Rampage hit the ice for their first practice of training camp at Northwoods Ice Center on Monday, Sept. 23. Practice begins at 9:45 a.m. and is open to the public.
