
Columbus Blue Jackets Trim Training Camp Roster, Assign Several Players to AHL's Cleveland Monsters

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Monsters, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, announced Saturday that the Blue Jackets assigned forwards Trey Fix-Wolansky, Maxime Fortier, Eric Robinson, Kole Sherwood, Kevin Stenlund and Calvin Thurkauf, and defensemen Gabriel Carlsson, Ryan Collins and Michael Prapavessis to the Monsters. Columbus also placed forwards Paul Bittner, Nathan Gerbe and Justin Scott on waivers for the purpose of assignment to Cleveland and the Blue Jackets released the following players, all on AHL contracts with the Monsters, from their professional tryout (PTO) contracts: forwards Derek Barach, Brett Gallant, Nikita Korostelev, Stefan Matteau, Bryan Moore and Sam Vigneault, and defenseman Anton Karlsson.
