
Blues Assign Cracknell; Recall Hensick

St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has assigned forward Adam Cracknell to the Blues' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen. The Blues also recalled forward T.J. Hensick from Peoria.
Cracknell, 25, made his NHL debut in the Blues' 5-2 loss to Detroit on Dec. 15, 2010. Overall, the 6'2, 216-pound forward has dressed in eight games for the Blues recording an assist and serving two penalty minutes. With Peoria this season, Cracknell has played in 29 games accruing 14 points including four goals and 10 assists.
The Prince Albert, Saskatchewan native was originally drafted by Calgary in the 9th round, 279th overall, of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. He was signed by St. Louis as a free agent on July 23, 2009.
Hensick, 25, has made 26 appearances for the Rivermen this season leading the team with 31 points including nine goals and a club best 22 assists. In three games for the Blues this season, the 5'10, 190-pound forward tallied an assist and served two penalty minutes.
The Lansing, Michigan native was originally drafted by Colorado in the third round, 88th overall, of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. He was acquired by St. Louis from Colorado in exchange for Julian Talbot on June 17, 2010.
Cracknell is expected to join the team in time for tonight's game against the Oklahoma City Barons at 7:05 p.m. The game can be heard locally on 96.5 ESPN or online through www.rivermen.net.
