Jersey Shore BlueClaws News Release
LAKEWOOD, N.J. - The Lakewood BlueClaws are pleased to announce that their fifth annual Non-Profit Night will be taking place on July 1st at the 7:05 pm game with the Greensboro Grasshoppers at FirstEnergy Park. For this night, several of the BlueClaws non-profit partners will be on hand with display tables along the concourse.
"The BlueClaws throughout the season are committed to helping non-profits with our fundraiser program and concession stand volunteer program," said BlueClaws General Manager Geoff Brown. "Additionally, having a night dedicated to our non-profit partners is a great opportunity to have a large audience learn about these great organizations."
The BlueClaws non-profit partners that will be participating with tables on the concourse are: ARMS, the Tom Giannattasio. Jr Memorial Fund, Caregivers of Central Jersey, American Cancer Society, Celebrate NJ, ARC of Ocean County, Monmouth Council of Boy Scouts, Yoga & You Foundation, OceanFirst Foundation, Big Brother's Big Sisters of Ocean County, the American Heart Association, ALS Association, Memory Walk, Childhood Leukemia Foundation, Ocean Harbor's House and the Dennis W. Zilinski Memorial Fund.
These organizations raise money thorough the BlueClaws' Fundraising Program, and the BlueClaws are represented on the Boards of Directors of many of these organizations.
Non-profits that are not currently partnered with the Lakewood BlueClaws are encouraged to become a partner. For more information on how to become a non-profit partner, contact Jim McNamara at 732-901- 7000 x 176 or email him at JMcNamara@BlueClaws.com
The Lakewood BlueClaws have led the South Atlantic League in average or overall attendance in each of their eight seasons. This year, they are expected to become the fastest team in both South Atlantic League and New Jersey history to eclipse the 4- million fan plateau.
By winning the first-half championship, the BlueClaws have made the playoffs for the second time in franchise history. Playoff four-packs go on-sale to the general public on Monday, July 6th.
