
Sucre and Kimbrel Sent to Myrtle Beach

Rome, GA - The Rome Braves announce that catcher Jesus Sucre and pitcher Craig Kimbrel have been sent to Myrtle Beach of the Carolina League. The team receives catcher Matt Kennelly from Myrtle Beach.
Sucre was selected to the South Atlantic League All Star team and was hitting .325 with 18 RBI. Right hander Craig Kimbrel has 16 relief appearances with ten saves and a 0.90 ERA. He has struck out 38 while walking only six in 20 innings pitched.
Catcher Matt Kennelly was hitting .195 with the Pelicans with one home run and six RBI.
The team begins the second half of the season tonight in Augusta and will return home for a seven game home stand beginning Saturday June 27 for Parrot Head Paradise night. For a complete schedule as well as a list of promotional games log on to www.romebraves.com.
