BlueClaws Closing in on 6-Million Fans

LAKEWOOD, NJ - After eclipsing the 5.9-million fan mark on July 26th, the BlueClaws are on the path to 6-million fans, a plateau that will be reached in the coming weeks.

FANS TO GO: 68,369 until 6-million (thru August 3rd)

The BlueClaws, who debuted in 2001, will become the fastest team in New Jersey and South Atlantic League history to reach the 6-million fan plateau. They have led the league in attendance in average or overall attendance in all 13 years of their existence.

Among the prizes for the 6-millionth fan:

Season tickets to the 2015 BlueClaws season with their own parking spot.A BlueClaws team-signed item.A 6-millionth Fan BlueClaws jersey.A ceremonial first pitch the night of the milestone.Waiter/Waitress service the night of the milestone.Special BlueClaws custom-chair denoting the countdown to 6-million.

The team entered the season having drawn 5,649,015 fans, within 350,985 fans of 6-million.

Seven-year old Justin Singer of Freehold became the team's 5-millionth fan on June 15th, 2012. He joined Matthew Currie of Toms River (4-millionth fan, August 24, 2009), Lou Ameika of Lakewood (3-millionth fan, July 16, 2007), Al Spinney of Manahawkin (2-millionth fan, June 22, 2005) and Sean Morales of Jackson (1-millionth fan, April 26, 2003) on the list of milestone BlueClaws fans.

The BlueClaws have a full slate of games in August, with 16 home games on tap between August 4th and the regular season home finale on August 28th.
