Wilmington Blue Rocks News Release

Wilmington, DE - The Wilmington Blue Rocks will attempt to make history on Friday, June 19, 2009. After the Blue Crew's game with the Winston-Salem Dash, and before the skies light up with a spectacular post-game fireworks show, presented by EBC Carpet Services, the Rocks and their fans will go for the Guinness World Record of "Largest Group Performing Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" under the crowd participation category.

The current record stands at 1,217 participants. It was set by the Taiwan Tourism Bureau on July 1, 2008 in Taipei, Taiwan.

But with an anticipated Fireworks crowd of over 6,000 on the way, the Blue Rocks marketing department is planning to smash the record.

The Guinness Book of World Records rules require participants to be engaged for five minutes, which is the task's biggest challenge. Rocky Bluewinkle and his mascot crew, along with select game staff will lead the charge though, while the song is sung in as many different ways imaginable up on the video board.

Fans will be able to stand at their seats to participate. It will be easy, convenient and most importantly, tons of fun.

How often do you get the chance to say you are a partial owner of a world record? For that opportunity, call 302-888-BLUE for tickets today.

Remember, history only happens once.
