
Blue Jays Recall Bisons INF Ryan Goins, Herd Adds INF Andy Burns

The Toronto Blue Jays today announced that INF RYAN GOINS has been recalled from the Buffalo Bisons roster. With the roster room, INF ANDY BURNS was promoted to the Herd from Double-A New Hampshire.
Additionally, C A.J. JIMENEZ was transferred off the Bisons' disabled list today to New Hampshire.
Burns, 24, hit .238 (5-21) with three walks and five runs scored in six games with the Fisher Cats this season. He hit his first home run of the year yesterday in New Hampshire's 4-1 loss to Reading. Burns spent all of last season at Double-A and hit .255 (126-495) in 133 games for the Fisher Cats. He led the team with 32 doubles, 15 home runs, 63 RBI and 71 runs scored and finished second on the squad with 18 stolen bases and five triples.
Goins was leading the Bisons with a .350 average (7-20), having collected a hit in five of the Herd's first six games. He also had a double and three RBI while playing errorless baseball at second base and shortstop.
